Some close-ups of my pretty engagement ring! For people who care about such things: it is a square cut Canadian diamond (I insisted), .38 CT. Near colourless (I), VS1 clarity. It is a 18K yellow gold mounting, in the "trellis" or "tiffany" style.

This is the wedding band I've selected. I wanted something with organic shapes to contrast with my plain engagement ring. The band I ultimately wear has to be quite thin, I can't bend my fingers easily with overly thick rings on them, since, as mentioned, small hands. I take a size 7 ring. Antique Jewellery Mall is where it's available, for now online only in rose (pink) gold but they're making it in yellow gold. They were very nice. They wrote:

Anyone who knows Mike has to smile to see this -- it is very much him. It's black titanium, with white gold or silver in the middle, and a small tension-mounted diamond. And no, our rings don't match at all, but neither do our tastes in jewellery! Better to each have rings we love than to settle on something matching. Mike's ring size is normally 11 but 10 in the 'comfort' style -- we had to send the first ring we ordered back due to sizing! The ring is available here, and he also liked this one.
